Creating and Associating 3D Line Annotation Markers

You can snap and associate 3D line annotation markers.


Before you begin: To add 3D line to the action bar:
  • Select Me > Preferences > Customize.
  • Click Add Command and search Line .
  • Click OK.

  1. From the Review section of the action bar, click Line .
  2. Click a part to place the first and last points of the 3D line.
  3. To manipulate the 3D line:
    1. Select the 3D line end point/extremities and manipulate it to some other position in the viewer.
      The axis preview is available in the main direction of the 3D line.
    2. Manipulate the 3D line using the Shift key.
      The end point/extremities get snapped to the axis of the line.
    3. Move the position of the line linked object using the Robot.
      The 3D line moves along the associated object.
  4. To associate 3D line markers:
    1. Right-click the 3D line marker, and select Associated object > Begin/End > Replace/Delete.
    2. Move the position of line linked object using the Robot.
      The 3D line moves along the associated object.
    3. Right-click the 3D line marker, and select Associated object > Begin/End > Create.
      The associativity of the 3D line is changed using the context menu options.
