Duplicating Reviews

You can create duplicates of reviews in the Collaborative Lifecycle app. You can duplicate a review when you search for or explore it.


Before you begin:
  • Select Me > Preferences > App Preferences > Social and Collaborative > Global Design Management > Folder > Engineering Folder, and select the Enable References Expand check box.
  • Explore a review in the Collaborative Lifecycle app.

About reusing and excluding validation entities
  1. Select the required review in the tree.
  2. From the Lifecycle section of the action bar, click Duplicate Advanced.
    The Duplicate Options dialog box, Summary panel, and the B.I. Essentials panel appear.
  3. In the Duplicate Options dialog box, enter the required duplication options.
    • Duplication string: Enter the duplication string. It is added as a prefix to the name of the objects that are selected for duplication.
    • Optimize reuse: Select this check box to apply the defined business logic for object reuse.
  4. Select the required object in either the tree or the 3D area.
    A context toolbar appears.
  5. On the context toolbar, click the required duplication command.
    • Duplicate your selection... : Select this option to duplicate the object.
    • Reuse your selection... : Select this option to reuse the object.
    • Exclude your selection from duplication... : Select this option to exclude the object from duplication.

    Notes:
    • You can select markups, replies, or the entire review for duplication.
    • If you select a parent node for duplication, reuse, or exclusion, all child nodes are selected for duplication, reuse, or exclusion respectively. Therefore, if you want to select a different status for a child node, you must select a status for the parent node and then change the status of the child node.
    • You can choose to exclude the related context from duplication. In this case, the duplicated review will refer to the original context.
    • When you perform the duplication, objects in the Collaborative Lifecycle app appear in different colors based on the selected duplication option.
      • Green color denotes objects that are selected for duplication.
      • Blue color denotes objects that are selected for reuse.
      • White color denotes objects that are excluded from duplication.

      These colors are also displayed next to the name of the objects in the tree.

    • You can click the required review to view the duplication status.

  6. In the Duplicate Options dialog box, click OK.

The selected review is duplicated. The duplicated review appears in a new tab.
