Refreshing the Model in Session

You can update your model by loading the modifications that have been performed and saved by another user since you have opened the model.

Note: Before refreshing your session, objects that have been deleted by other users are still visible and can be replaced. The inserted objects are kept after refresh.

This task shows you how to:


Before you begin:
  1. Open a model.
  2. A second user opens, modifies and saves this model.

Refresh a Selection of Objects

Selective Refresh refreshes a selection of objects that are loaded in your session.

  1. Select the products or representations to be refreshed.
  2. From the Tools section of the action bar, click Selective Refresh .
  3. Optional: If there are two conflicting versions in session and in database for an object, select the Discard in your session the conflicting modifications option to keep the database version.

    Important: By default, this option is not selected and your local modification is kept.

  4. Optional: To display the concurrent engineering status of the objects in session, click More.
  5. Click OK to close the Selective Refresh Confirmation dialog box and validate.
