Inserting an Existing 3D Part

Insert Existing 3D Part inserts an existing 3D part in an assembly.

Important:

To insert geometric data created in a product, use this command; Insert Existing Product.
To insert geometric data created in a 3D part, use these commands:
- Insert Existing 3D Part
- Insert Existing Product , if the Unified Insert Existing Product Command option is selected in Me > Preferences > 3D Modeling > Systems Architecture > Product Structure Design. For more information, see Commands.

Before you begin: Select a product.

From the Search Results panel or from your session, select a 3D part.

Important:

You can change the position of the inserted 3D part by moving the Robot.To restore the origin position of the 3D part, click Move to origin .
The Move to origin command is not available for multiselection.
