Optimizing the Publication Network

Optimize Publications lets you reroute redundant publication links to optimize the publication network of your product. Redundant publications point to the same object on different levels. After the optimization, the sub-level publications all point to the top level publication, which points directly to the object.

  1. The Optimize Publications dialog box displays:
    • In the left pane: a list of the redundant publications in the network.
    • In the right pane: the current path of publications to the pointed object and the optimal path that can be achieved through rerouting the publication links.
  2. To replace its current path with the optimal path, select a publication.

    Tip: You can select multiple publications for optimization or to select all the listed publications by selecting the Select all check box.
