Cutting, Copying and Pasting Objects

You can cut or copy and then paste objects.

This task shows you how to:

Cut and Paste

  1. Cut an object.
If you have modified the current object after opening it, a Warning on Cut or Delete dialog box appears.
  2. Optional: In the Warning on Cut or Delete dialog box, select the convenient option:
    • Yes to edit the modified data.

A new window opens to edit every object listed in the warning dialog box.

    • No to lose the modifications made until you run the cut command.
    • Cancel to end the cut operation.

Important: Cutting objects in a product structure may lead to broken links (constraints, contextuality). When a broken link is detected, the Edit Links & Relations options dialog box appears.

  3. Paste the object.
