Managing Product Revision Update

Manage Latest Revisions lets you update in session the revision of a product along with the revision of its aggregated representations. Replace by Latest Revision command is similar to the Manage Latest Revisions command but is only based on unitary selection.

Note: These commands support non-linear revision:
  • Replace by Revision supports the non-linear revision mechanism that is provided by the Revision Selector dialog box.
  • Replace by Latest Revision and Manage Latest Revision support the non-linear revision mechanism based on Revision intent.

Before you begin:

Select an object.

  1. From the Product Modification section of the action bar, click Manage Latest Revisions .

  2. Optional: To manage the revision update:
    1. Click More in the Revisions management options dialog box.
    2. To filter the list of instances, you can select Select all valid instances, Show all instances, Show instances with issues.
    3. To modify the editability or lock status of an instance, select the convenient command from the context menu.
    4. To remove an instance from the revision update, clear its check box.
    5. Click OK to validate your selection and close the Latest Revision Management dialog box.
  3. In the Revisions management options dialog box, click OK to update the revisions.
  4. Click OK to close the report.
