Replacing by New Revision

Replace by New Revision creates a new revision and replaces the existing component by its latest revision.

Before you begin: Save your data before launching the Replace by New Revision command.

Important: By default, this command is not displayed. If you do not see this command, activate the Replace by New Revision command in Me

> Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling > Systems Architecture > Product Structure Design > Commands.

Select one or several objects to be replaced.

Important: This command is not available on a root product.
From the Product Modification section of the action bar, click Replace by New Revision .
Click OK.

The object is replaced by its latest revision.

Warning: The instance name (displayed in the Properties dialog box) is not updated. The previous instance name is kept.
