Selecting Parts and Products

You can use one of these selection commands to select products and parts according to your needs.

Invert Selection

You can invert your selection that is, select all the children objects of a root, except the objects in the branch of the firstly selected object.

  1. Select a product or a part.
  2. From the View section of the action bar, click Select Inversion .

    All the direct children of the root are selected, except the objects along the branch of the selected object. The sibling objects of the selected object are also selected.

Select All Objects

Select All selects all the objects of a product structure.

  1. Select a product.
  2. From the View section of the action bar, click Select All .

    All objects are selected.

Select Others

You can select all the objects of a structure, except those that are firstly selected.

  1. In a product, select a subproduct or a part.
  2. From the View section of the action bar, click Select Others .

    All objects are selected (subproducts and parts) except those that were previously selected.

Select Parents

You can select the parent objects of a selection of products and parts.

  1. In a product, select several products or parts.
  2. From the View section of the action bar, click Select Parent .

    The parents of the selected objects are selected.

Select Children

You can select all the children objects (parts or products) of a product.

  1. Select a product or a part.
  2. From the View section of the action bar, click Select Children .

    The product and all its children (subproducts or parts) are now selected.

Select Siblings

You can select all the siblings of a product or a part.

  1. Select a product or a part.
  2. From the View section of the action bar, click Select Siblings.

    The product (or part) is deselected, its siblings are selected.

Select Leaves

You can select all the leaves of a selected product.

  1. Select a product or a part.
  2. From the View section of the action bar, click Select Leaves.

    The product and all its leaves are now selected.
