About Selection and Cross Highlight

The Links and Relations function supports the cross highlight and cross selection.

Selection
The view and browse modes in the Edit Links and Relations dialog box vary whether you select objects first or launch the Links and Relations option before selecting objects:

Important:
  • To change the selection in the Edit Links and Relations dialog box, you can select a component either in the tree and the 3D area.
  • To make an object selectable in the tree or in the 3D area, change the Browse mode to Selection, if nothing is selected when you run the Links and Relations command.
Cross Highlight
If you select an object in the Edit Links and Relations dialog box, using List or Graph View, the corresponding object is highlighted both in the tree and in the 3D area:
