Create a Template
You can create a template in Product Structure Design.
- From the Compass, click 3D Modeling Apps and select Engineering Rules Capture.
- From the Tools section of the action bar, click Knowledge Engineering Specification . For more information about engineering specification, see Knowledge Basics User's Guide: Creating Knowledge Engineering Specifications.

Formula
.
The Formulas dialog box appears.

Click
Reactions
in the
Reactive Features bar.
The Reaction dialog box appears.

In the Source type list, select one of the options. Selection enables you to manually select one or more objects in the tree. Owner enables you to link the action with the tree.

The Sources box shows the selected objects with which the reaction will be linked (only available if the Selection Source type is selected).

The events available in Available Events list depend on the source type selected in the Source type box.

The Action box enables you to select language in which you want to write and edit the action. There are two types of action: Knowledge action and Visual Basic action. To activate the instance from the instances of product,
SetEffectivity
: command is set as true. To deactivate the instance from the instances of product,SetEffectivity
: command is set as false.

The Destination box reflects the destination where the reaction is appended.

- Click OK.

Double-click the
Length parameter and edit the value.
The Edit Parameters dialog box appears.

Save the structure.
The template is created.
