Dragging and Dropping Configured Objects

You can drag and drop a configured object. The links are managed in accordance with the effectivity of the dragged object.

Before you begin: Create an assembly containing at least two parts having defined effectivity.
  1. Open an assembly in a configured environment.
  2. Drag and drop the configured object in the tree.
    The Define Effectivity dialog box appears to let you choose effectivity for the Move operation.
  3. Select the effectivity to be applied to the dragged object and click OK.
    The result of this operation is a copy/paste and a split, according to the configuration rules.

    The object is dropped with the selected effectivity and its links are rerouted.
