The information computation is based on product structure and on the weight and center of gravity of the individual component. The weight and center of gravity of individual nodes have the same values as the ones
in Product Performance Assessment. All these inertia values are computed according to
the main inertia axis centered on the center of gravity.
Before aggregating the inertia matrix of child nodes, it is transformed into a coordinate
system of parent node. For this transformation, the matrix's position is used to give
the rotation and translation measures of the individual nodes with respect to their
parent node.
Note:
You cannot author an objective inertia matrix, nor store its trend along the time axis.
