Defining Business Values for a Single Entity

You can define or modify business values on any element (physical structure or manufacturing object, etc.) in Business Value Definition.

  1. From the Compass, drag Business Value Definition app to the dashboard.
  2. Drag the element to the Business Value Definition app.

Different kinds of weight are available: Inherited, Estimated, Computed, Declared, Measured.

    Notes:

The Inherited category in Life Cycle Secondary Analytics is used to display the percentage of the values coming from CATIA V5 or any other external source. If there is not any other value, the inherited (coming from CATIA V5 for example) is considered as the item value.

The different kinds of values are ranked in order of confidence level, starting with Measured having a high level of confidence. For example:

    • The confidence level for a measured value may be 100%.
    • The default confidence level for an inherited value is 0% and cannot be modified.
  3. Click Evaluated Metrics and edit business values.
  4. Save the business values.

To save a metric, the following values are mandatory:

    • Value
    • Tolerance
    • Confidence
    • Behavior

For each metric, different maturities are available: Inherited, Estimated, Computed, Declared, Measured.

    Notes:

The different kinds of environmental footprint are ranked in order of confidence level, starting with Measured having a high level of confidence.
