Spacing and Length

  • Spacing (S): Distance between every instance (segment).
  • Length (L): Length of the weld instance.



Dashed Welding Symbols on Drawings

Once a dashed weld is created, its specifications can be retrieved on a drawing.

The annotation for a dashed weld shows the weld specifications in the following format:

Weld size Symbol Number of instances X Length (spacing)

Example: Weld size (a15) Symbol , Number of instances (4), Length (20), Spacing (40)
