Weld Length in Annotations
The app
detects if the weld is full-length (the weld occupies the entire overlap between the two
faces), or partial-length (the weld does not occupy the entire overlap between the two
faces). Depending on how the limits were specified, the weld annotations of full-length
welds can show the weld length.
If a weld does not have any limits, the weld is considered to be a full-length
weld. In this case, the weld length does not appear in the annotation. Conversely, if a
weld has one or more limits, it is considered to be a partial weld. In this case, the
weld length appears in the annotation.
Benefits: When in the process of verifying or reviewing, annotations can provide an
immediate access to full-length weld lengths.
