About Launch Data Collect Plan (DCP) Formula Validity Checker Panel

You can allow for identification of all the Data Collect Plan (DCP) Rows that contain invalid Formulas in the current Workplan / System. The same validity verifies when opening the Formula Editor for a particular DCP Row, done for all Rows in the current Workplan / System. Actions are proposed in the Formula Validity verification report to solve the issues. You are able to control in advanced that formulas could be computed during execution at the shopfloor.

Formula Validity Panel

Selecting Launch DCP Formula Validity Checker Panel, the summary report panel, Formula Validity appears.

This displays all the DCP Rows that contain invalid Formulas. This panel contains commands that you can use to either edit the Formula, or delete the DCP Row (if it is no longer relevant.)

The following validity verifies:

  1. Not assigning the Requirement to current or previous Operation OR not assigning the Requirement to an Item implement by current or previous Operation.
  2. Requirement assigned to a row on which the formula is invalid is impacting (as invalid) all DCP formulas in which it is defined until another DCP Computed is assigned to this Requirement.
  3. The Requirement that is associated with .computed function, is not linked to the formula of a previous DCP row or a previous DCP of the current workplan.
  4. The Requirement does not collect in a previous DCP row or DCP of the current workplan. This verification activates/deactivates through an option in Me > Preferences.
  5. The Requirement type referenced into a formula is no more REAL or INTEGER. The Requirement links to the computed row (result of the formula) is not REAL anymore.
  6. The Requirement used in Comparison Functions has the same specified Number of Measures (The number of Measures specifies on DCP Rows linked to the Requirement.)

The panel displays information for all impacted. Formulas in the current Workplan / System even if the Operations Sequence activates for a particular Header.

If there is only one level of Operations under the Workplan / System, then the column does not display in the report.

In the existing Data Collect Plan panel, an Alert icon displays to the left of the formula in case it is invalid.

Note: The same set of checker rules is used by the Formula Validity command, the DCP Panel, and the Formula Editor to flag a Formula as invalid.

This Alert does not display if the formula is updated to be valid.
