Displaying Non-Buildup FTA of an Assembly

You can manipulate the Hide/Show status of Non-Buildup FTA Requirements like regular FTA Requirements by clicking 3D or in the FTA Requirements Panel.

Any assigned FTA Requirements to the active Operation display irrespective of whether they originate from the geometry of (Buildup) Mfg Items or not.

The following topics discuss:

This page discusses:

Positioning of Non-Buildup FTA Requirements

Unlike other FTA Requirements, Non-Buildup FTA Requirements cannot inherit position changes applied on Mfg Items. Examples are Part Position, Operation Position, and others.

So the Non-Buildup FTA Requirements display in the same position seen when they were generated by the Generate Manufacturing Requirements command.

Move of Mfg Item or Items inside Views

Unlike other FTA Requirements, Non-Buildup FTA Requirements do not move if the reference geometry moves inside the Views.

In the example, the (light blue) Mfg Item moves in the Y direction. The Non-Buildup FTA Requirements (140+/-0.25 and 90+/-0.25) do not move.

Similarly, the Non-Buildup FTA Requirements remain in their original location even if both Mfg Items move in the same direction, with the same distance.

Hide/Show of Mfg Item or Items inside Views

Unlike other FTA Requirements, Non-Buildup FTA Requirements are not invisible if the reference geometry hides inside the Views

In the example below, the (dark blue) Mfg Item hides. The Non-Buildup FTA Requirements (140+/-0.25 and 90+/-0.25) remain visible.

Similarly, the Non-Buildup FTA Requirements remain visible even if both Mfg Items hide.

Toggle of Surface Display inside Views

Similar to regular FTA Requirements, the display of FTA Surfaces for Non-Buildup FTA Requirements switch ON/OFF.

In this case, however, the geometry of the associated Mfg Item cannot be semitransparent. So the surfaces may not always be easy to see (depending on the color of the geometry).
