You can add more detail in Views, by reducing the number of Views that would need to
author that explain an assembly/installation task. This saves time on the Shop Floor as a less
number of Views would need to view by Shop Floor workers.
Before you begin: Any new / existing View uses as a Main View to create
Associative View Pictures.
Click Play to watch the video:
Click Associative View
from the Instruction Authoringaction bar.
Trap selection to select a region for the Associative View
picture and indicate a position for the Associative View picture in
the current View.
Associative View picture is created.
Note:
The current View
remains the active View.
The created Associative View
picture can move or resize as required.
Right-click the view to Update the View (or create a new
View).
The updated/created View is now the Main View for the created
Associative View Picture.
Create more Associative View Pictures and update the View.
Note:
You can also create more Main Views and Associative View
pictures for those Main Views. But Associative View pictures
cannot be shared across Main Views or other Views.
In the Main View, select the Edit Content from the context bar
of the Associative View picture to edit the content. Alternatively,
the user can double-click the Associative View picture.
This enables the editing mode for the Associative View picture:
Viewpoint is automatically updated as per the viewpoint in the Picture.
Nonrelevant panels are hidden (for example Operation filmstrip, Views panel).
Nonrelevant commands are disabled (for example View authoring commands, Magnifier,
Associative View.).
Change the Viewpoint and add dressup and or overloads.
Update the Associative View using the Update
Associative View Picture
in the Associative View panel.
Exit the editing mode using Return to Parent view
.
Associative View picture in the main View is updated with
the changes made
Edition of an Associative View picture.
Edit Content.
Hide/Show.
Add/Remove Leader.
Change the line type.
The Associative View picture has capabilities similar
to other Picture Markers, namely:
It can be resized (diagonally only to maintain aspect ratio).
It can be moved.
It can be associated with more than one object in the 3D (multiple leaders).
It can have different leader end types (Arrow, Circle, No End Type) or no
leader.
