Sketching Arcs

You can use various commands to sketch arcs. Select a command based on the points used to define the arc.

This task shows you how to:

Sketch a Center Arc

You can sketch an arc defined by its center point and a point on its circumference.

  1. From the Sketch section of the action bar, click Center Arc .
  2. In the 3D area, click to place the center point, first arc endpoint, and second arc endpoint.



Sketch a Tangent Arc

You can sketch an arc defined by a tangent entity and an endpoint.

Before you begin: Sketch the entity to which you want the arc to be tangent.
  1. From the Sketch section of the action bar, click Tangent Arc .
  2. In the 3D area, click near an endpoint on the entity to which you want the arc to be tangent.

  3. Click to place the endpoint of the arc.

Sketch a Three Point Arc

You can sketch an arc defined by two end points and a point on its circumference.

  1. From the Sketch section of the action bar, click Three-Point Arc .
  2. In the 3D area, click to place the first and second arc endpoints.

  3. Click to place a third point on the arc.
