Types of Mates

Appropriate mate types are available depending on the component geometry you select.

Icons indicate the mate type:

Icon Mate Type
Angle
Concentric
Coincident
Distance
Parallel
Perpendicular
Tangent

Note: You can fix the position of a single component so that it cannot move with respect to the assembly origin. Select the component and click Fix on the context toolbar. You cannot fix the position of two components relative to each other.
