Adding a new or existing item to a Catalog

You can add a new or existing item in your catalogs or in the catalogs you can access and edit.

This task shows you how to:

Add a new item

  1. In the My Catalogs or All Catalogs tab, select a catalog.
  2. In the Contents tab, click .
  3. Click New and select the item you want to create.

    To create a new catalog, refer to Creating a new Catalog.

    To publish a new dataset, refer to Publishing a Dataset.

    To Generate datasets from an activity, refer to Generating Datasets from an activity.

The new item is available in the Contents tab.

Add an existing item

  1. In the My Catalogs or All Catalogs tab, select a catalog.
  2. In the Contents tab, click .
  3. Click Existing and select the type of item you want to add.
    A list of catalogs or datasets appear.
    Note:
    • You can only add datasets that already belong to a catalog.
    • To add a parent Catalog to a Dataset that has none, add it from the Dataset’s Catalog tab instead
  4. Select the items you want to add and click , or double-click an item to add them to the selection.

    Click to remove them from the selection.

  5. Click Add.
    Click at the top left hand corner of the tab to see other catalogs.

The new item is available in the Contents tab.
