Implement Links Analysis

The Implement Links Analysis B.I. reveals information about the links to any selected product, manufactured item, resource, system, or operation.

More that one object can be selected for analysis.

When the Implement Links Analysis B.I. is selected, colored squares appear next to product, manufactured item, resource, system, and operation nodes in the tree.

Color Signification Description

Implementing object This object implements the selected object.

Implemented object This object is implemented by the selected object.

Implemented and implementing object This object both implements and is implemented by the selected object.

Scoped object This object is scoped by the selected object.

Not linked This object is not linked to the selected object.

Not implemented by selected objects This object is not implemented to the selected object.
Note: An implement link between two objects specifies that one object realizes the other. Various implement links can be created between products, manufactured items, resources, systems, and operations.

For a system, the following links are possible:

  • Implemented manufactured items
  • Resources implementing this system.

For an operation, links to implemented manufactured items and implementing resources are possible.

For a resource, links to implemented systems and operations are possible. A nonorganizational resource can implement an operation. Usually, several resources implement one operation, to define 'Who' is doing the operation, 'With' which device, and 'Where'. In that case, there is only one connection linking the operation and the different resources.

For a manufactured item, the following links are possible:

  • Systems or operations implementing this manufactured item
  • Implemented products.

For a product, links to manufactured items implementing this product are possible.

An object that is both scoped and implemented is considered as implemented. This is the case of a product scoped by a manufactured item or of a manufactured item scoped by a workplan).

An object that is scoping a scoped object is considered as implementing it.
