Resource Monitoring and Status

The Resource Monitoring and Status B.I. reveals information about resource simulation entities.

When an object is selected during a simulation and the Resource Monitoring and Status B.I. is active, a dialog box displays the name of the selected object and more information about its status:

This page discusses:

Color Code

When the Resource Monitoring and Status B.I. is selected, the following colors are applied to the objects indicating their monitoring status:

  • If the selected object is Running, its running start time is displayed.
  • If it is Waiting/Idle, it indicates whether it finished or never ran. (If it already ran, its completion time is displayed).
  • If it is Halted, it indicates the time that it was halted and the reason.

Color Signification Description

Running One of the resource's tasks is currently loaded and active in simulation.

Waiting/Idle The resource's behavior is not currently active in simulation.

Halted The resource's behavior has been running a simulation, but the simulation halted because an error condition occurred.

Reasons for being halted are app-specific or resource-type-specific.

For a device:

  • Travel/Velocity/Acceleration limit exceeded.
  • Caution zone entered.

For a robot:

  • The Rotational/Linear Speed/Acceleration limit has been exceeded.
  • A target position is unreachable.
  • The robot is in singularity.

Not Monitored This status is applied to:
  • Content that is not a resource.
  • Resources that have no behavior defined.
  • All products and resources that are not part of the active simulation object (ASO) and normally appear in low-light.

Label

When the B.I. is selected and you select an object in the work area, a label is displayed that contains detail information:
