Defining Interaction and Advanced Options

You can customize more specific options to optimize the globe display and interactions.

This task shows you how to:

Interaction Options

You can customize the way you interact with the globe.

  1. From the Display Settings section of the action bar, click Interaction Options .
  2. Modify the appropriate options:
    OptionDescription
    Enable zoom Lets you activate or deactivate the zoom.
    Auto-rotation speed Lets you define the spin rotation speed of the globe.
    Globe inertia Lets you define the globe resistance when dragged by the mouse.
    Initial zoom distance Lets you define the initial zoom distance, from a town to a planet.
    Initial coordinates Lets you define the initial point of view with coordinates in latitude and longitude.
    Important: Make sure you enter existing GPS coordinates otherwise, the result is unpredictable.
  3. Click Interaction Options again to apply your changes and exit.

Advanced Options

You can define some advanced options, among which those related to the TMS (Tile Map Service).

  1. From the Display Settings section of the action bar, click Advanced Options .
  2. Modify the appropriate options:
    OptionDescription
    TMS (Tile Map Service) URL Lets you load your own maps using a TMS. For instance: http://tile.openstreetmap.org/
    Important: Do not forget to add your server in the CORS Exceptions Servers option.
    Tile Extension Lets you modify the image extension on your TMS.
    TMS Max Level Lets you modify the maximum level for the TMS. The higher the level, the more precise the definition. By default, it is set to 6.
    CORS Exception Servers Lets you add an external server to the CORS exception servers to download external data (such as tiles from the TMS server).

    Tip: Click next to each option to display the associated tooltip.

  3. Click Advanced Options to apply your changes and exit.
