What is 3DNotification?

3DNotification gives 3DEXPERIENCE platform users timely updates about activities going on. 3DNotification is the service used to send push notification messages to 3DEXPERIENCE platform users:

  1. A source app or service sends a notification request to the 3DNotification service.
  2. The 3DNotification service processes the request.
  3. The 3DNotification service sends a notification message to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform users via different channels (the notification center, alerts and emails).

Prerequisites

You must install the following prerequisites:

  • OS: Redhat Enterprise Linux, Suse and Windows Server
  • Database (configured to support UTF-8 and UTF-16): Oracle and SQL Server on both Windows Server and Linux
  • An already installed Java Development Kit (JDK). You can also use the embedded JDK provided during the installation.
  • For the Reverse Proxy SSL use Apache httpd or HA Proxy.
