Click
Configuration, then the
General tab.
-
In the General configuration section, set the
Default language from the choices available in the
pull-down menu.
This language will be used in the user interface for any user who has not chosen a language
in the menu of the 3DPassport login page, or using the menu of 3DEXPERIENCE web apps and if the browser language is undefined or not supported. It
will be also used to send emails to these users.
The default is English.
-
Click Authorize remember me if needed.
When users connect to the 3DPassport service by entering the service URL, the login dialog box lets them enter
them credentials and also contains the Remember me
option which, when selected, remembers the last logon credentials and allows
users to access the 3DEXPERIENCE platform directly, until the sign out.
This option is enabled by default. If you do not want users to access the 3DEXPERIENCE platform directly without providing their credentials, unselect the
Authorize remember me check box.
Disabling this feature affects only new users who log on. Users that were
already logged in using the Remember me option stay
logged in for the duration of the session or until they log off. After that,
they will no longer be able to benefit from the Remember
me option.
Note:
The Remember me option works in the web browser,
and in the native app if you launch it from the 3DCompass. However, if you launch native app as standalone app from the desktop
shortcut and not from 3DCompass, you will have to provide credentials again.
-
Click Force username to lowercase if needed.
This option forces the user's login (username) to lowercase when it is
stored in the local database and retrieved by other applications. To
activate or deactivate this feature, check or uncheck the box. This setting
will already be checked by default if you selected the Force
lowercase users' login option during 3DPassport installation.

Click Allow user with support role to grant the same role to other
users and Allow user with support role to disable
Two-factor authentication to other users
- the Administrator role gives the user full access to the administration
tools
- the Support role gives the user limited access to the administration
tools.
This option, available to only the Administrator role, allows a user with the
Support role to grant the same role to other users, since it can be useful
to share the same limited rights with other users.
If not activated, any user with the Support role can only view, but not edit
roles, and can only access logs and the search user views using the
3DPassport administration tools.
To grant administrator or support access, click Audit,
then the User tab, search for a user then click the
Security tab.
For more information, see Searching and Deleting Users.
