Touch Gestures

Gestures are the one or two finger touch inputs or basic actions you use to interact with 3DPlay using touch. You can perform most tasks using only one finger. To interact with your app using touch, select Me > Preferences > General > Immersive Virtuality > Interactions and then Allow multi-touch interactions before entering your app.

The table below describes the touch gestures supported.

For more on touch gestures, see 3DEXPERIENCE Native Apps: Touch and Multi-Touch. In particular, you can use standard gestures to change the viewpoint by panning, zooming in and out, rotating and reframing.

Contextual manipulation gestures can be used to manipulate products, or to perform specific actions in the Navigation, Explode, and Gravity scenarios.

To switch from standard change viewpoint gestures to contextual manipulation gestures, place one or several fingers on the screen (with at least one finger on the object to manipulate) until an animation starts around your fingers. When this animation stops, you can start performing the gestures detailed below. Ensure you always keep at least one finger on the screen. Releasing the fingers switches back to standard change viewpoint gestures.

Note: During the animation, you can always add or remove fingers.
