Displaying Interferences

You can display an interference simulation or an interference simulation metric created in Interference Check. You can also verify the interferences using interference result list.

Before you begin: Open an interference simulation or an interference simulation metric. To do so:

  • Search the interference simulation or the interference metric and drag it to 3DPlay Web App.
    Notes:
    • If you select the interference simulation and interference metric, interference simulation is considered.
    • If you select several interference simulations, the interference simulation selected at first is considered.
  • Drag the interference metric from an interference result list if an interference simulation or interference metric is already open in another widget or dashboard.
Note: You can drag several interference metrics at once from an interference result list.

  1. From the Standard Area of the action bar, click Analyze Interference .
    The interference result list appears.
    Notes:
    • The interference result list is read-only.

You can switch to the Interference Check for Dashboard app and edit the respective values in the interference result list, for example the values of User Status and Analysis Status.

    • You can reorder the columns and hide them, if required. You can also sort the columns alphabetically. These modifications persist after browser refresh.
    • When the widget width is smaller than 550 pixels, the interference simulation result list hides automatically when you select the row.

If you select the User Status, Analysis Status, Description, or the Metric Name, the interference simulation result list does not hide automatically.

  2. From the Interference section of the action bar, click Color Overload to apply colors to the interfering parts.

The status of the Color Overload command (activated or deactivated) is stored in the local storage of a browser. Thus when you analyze the interference simulation, the previous activation status is restored.

  3. From the interference result list, select the required interference metric.
The 3D geometry is re-framed displaying the interference curves for clash or contact interferences. The annotation on the selected interference instance for clash or clearance appears.

The interfering parts are displayed with colors as below:

    Clash (Penetration Volume and Vector)

    Clash (Penetration Volume)

    Contact

    Clearance

If you select several rows, in case of color overload conflicts, the color displayed for the interfering part is based on the last selection.

Note: When you open an interference metric, only interfering parts of that interference metric are opened.

  4. Move the slider to adjust the opacity of the objects that are not part of the selected interference metric.

By default, the opacity is 10%. The modified opacity value is persisted.

Applying Full Opacity Applying Full Transparency

    • Click to apply full opacity (the opacity value of 3D objects) to non-interfering objects. Click again to apply the previous opacity value.
    • Click to apply full transparency to non-interfering objects. Click again to apply the previous opacity value.
    • When you reopen the interferences using Analyze interference , previously selected interferences are selected and previously applied opacity is applied.

  5. From the Standard Area of the action bar, click Presentation Mode .
The selected interference metric is displayed in presentation mode. If no interference metric is selected, the first interference simulation metric in the interference result list is displayed.
  6. Right-click in the work area and select any of the following:
    • Next : To display the next interference simulation metric.

You can also use the right or down arrow key, the page down key, or > button on the right-hand side of the work area.

    • Previous : To display the previous interference simulation metric.

You can also use the left or up arrow key, the page up key, or < button on the left-hand side of the work area.

    • Exit : To close the slide show.

You can also press Esc or click in the upper-right corner of the work area to exit the slide show mode.
