Customizing 6WTags

This section describes how to customize tags.

Note: Customizing 6WTags for the 3DSpace Index is a different operation. For more information, see 3DSpace Index Administration Guide: Customizing 6WTags.

This task shows you how to:

Customize Implicit Tags

This section describes how to customize implicit tags, that is to say tags extracted from the search results automatically. For example, WHO: author, WHEN: creation/update date, WHAT: type of content, etc.

Important: Explicit tags, that is to say tags created by users on any content they create or access, cannot be customized.

  1. Import RDF vocabulary files containing the definitions of the custom tag predicates.

For more information, see Enterprise Control Center Administration Guide: Managing Vocabulary Files.

  2. Add attributes and map them with the custom predicates defined in step 1.

    Use:

    • Either the 3DSpace Content Configuration app. For more information, see Collaborative Spaces Control Center: Adding Custom Attributes to Types.
    • Or the Data Model Customization app, to create data model specialization types or deployment extensions. For more information, see 3DSpace Data Model Customization Guide: Specialization Types.

Customize User-Defined Tags

This section describes how to customize explicit tags, and make them available when user create user-defined tags.

Import RDF vocabulary files containing the definitions of the explicit tags.

For more information, see Enterprise Control Center Administration Guide: Managing Vocabulary Files.

The file is imported to the platform. When users create user-defined tags, they can now see these newly tags.
