About the Engineering Dashboard

The dashboard is a slide-in panel in My Engineering View that provides a high-level snapshot and status of the objects that you own. You can also use the dashboard to view and filter the list of objects shown in My Engineering View. To open the dashboard, go to My Engineering View and click the arrow in the center of the right border of your screen.

The dashboard includes these sections:

Items

The dashboard Items section shows the total numbers for each type of item that you own. When you open My Engineering View, your first 50 most recently modified parts are listed. To expand the list, click the number of parts in the dashboard Items section. To view your specifications, reference documents, or change objects, click a different value in the Items section. The My Engineering View footer shows the number of listed items while the header shows filters, if any, that you have applied.

When you click a value in the Items section of the dashboard, all of the corresponding objects that you own of that type will be listed. If you own more than 5000 objects of the selected type, you will be prompted to either show only the first 5000 objects or filter the list.

Note: To return My Engineering View to its default list, click Restore Data in the dashboard.

My Visible Parts

This section displays how many parts are in the various lifecycle states (In Work, Frozen, etc.). When you click a bar in the chart for a specific state, the Engineering View lists your parts that are in that state. The chart also changes to display how many parts have been in that state in previous weeks. Click Back to States to return the previous chart.

Owned Change Orders

The bar chart in this section shows the state and severity summary for your current change orders. Each bar in the chart represents a change order state (Draft, In Work, etc.). Each bar comprises three smaller, color-coded bars, stacked on top of each other. Each bar represent how many change orders there are of a particular severity. Click a bar in the chart to view in My Engineering View the change orders that make up the data. To return My Engineering View to its default list, click Restore Data in the dashboard.

Owned Change Actions

This section displays the progress of your change actions throughout the approval process. Click a bar in the chart to view in My Engineering View the change actions that make up the data.
