Adding Date Effectivity to an Existing Configured BOM

When you add date effectivity to a configured EBOM, the configured part is effective only for the date(s) that you specify. For example, you can specify that a specific battery be listed in the BOM for January 16 to November 8 while another battery be listed for November 9 and later.

Note: Effectivity expressions cannot be created on mobile devices.

Before you begin: Open an existing configured BOM.
  1. In the part Engineering BOM category, select the EBOM tab.
  2. Select the Refinements icon .
  3. In the Refinements window, select Projected in the Configuration View list.
  4. Select the Enable edit Mode icon. The bill of materials is in edit mode.
  5. In the BOM, select one of more parts for which you want to add effectivity date(s).
  6. In the Mass Update list, select Current Effectivity and click .
  7. Complete the Edit Effectivity Definition dialog box.
