Filtering Configured BOM Structure with Product Configuration

You can filter the EBOM by product configuration. Only the parts that match the product configuration you choose will be shown.

Before you begin: Search and select a configured BOM that has a product configuration applied to one or more parts.
  1. In the part Engineering BOM category, select the EBOM tab to filter the EBOM or the Where Used tab to filter the parent assemblies list.
  2. Click to open the Refinements panel to select filter options for the BOM.
  3. Select a Configuration View.

    On premises only: The default options to choose from are:
    • Official
    • Projected
    • Change

  4. Click to select the Filter Expression.
  5. Click next to Effectivity Expression to enter an effectivity expression by which to filter the EBOM.
  6. Click next to Filter.

    To remove the filter, click to clear the effectivity field and click Filter.

    The filter is applied on BOM connections and corresponding part revisions. For example, when a BOM is filtered for "Configuration view= Official," currently-effective BOM connections appear along with the currently-effective part revisions for each connection.
