Removing Material Assignments

You can remove the material assignment you did before in xStudio.

  1. Select the part you want to remove the material assignment from
    • either in the viewer, by clicking once to select the product, and a second time to select the part
    • or from the content panel's model tab.

    You cannot remove material assignmnets from the whole product.

  2. Left click once on the part to open the Context toolbar.
    The Context Toolbar opens.
  3. Click Remove Material .

    This option is only available if you assigned a material to this part in xStudio before. You cannot remove the material that was assigned during import.

The assignment of the material is reversed and the part gets its original state back:

  • no material if the part was imported without a material assignment, or
  • the material it had assigned on import.
