Creating Annotations

You can create annotations for an asset and save these annotations.


Before you begin: You can create annotations only for the following types of assets:
  • Images (.png files, .jpg files, etc.)
  • Documents (.pdf files)

Previewing Annotations
  1. From a collaborative space or a collection, open the 3DPlay preview for an asset of your choice.

    For more information, see Previewing Assets in 3DPlay.

  2. From the bottom of the 3DPlay preview, click (tap) Show Action Bar .
  3. From the action bar, select one of the following:
    OptionDescription
    Annotation Commands Displays a context toolbar that provides you with annotation commands.
    Text Annotations Displays a context toolbar that provides you with text annotation.

    Important: You can create annotations when you open the 3DPlay preview of an asset from any location. However, you can save these annotations only when you open the 3DPlay preview from a collaborative space or a collection.

  4. Click (tap) Take Snapshot .
  5. In the dialog box that opens, enter a description for the annotation.
  6. Click (tap) Save Annotation.
