Procurement Intelligence

The Procurement Intelligence application provides buyers and decision makers with interactive dashboards to review components bought by the company and identify new sourcing opportunities. This guide's purpose is to explain Procurement Intelligence features to its end users.

The quantity of data you can import into Procurement Intelligence depends on the package you have purchased.

Data Model and Pivot Object Definitions

This section provides preliminary information on Procurement Intelligence's data model classes that will help you understand how imported objects count toward the package you have purchased.

Data Model

Data Model defines the set of objects imported into the out-of-the-box application, organized in a predefined taxonomy of classes.

The out-of-the-box taxonomy of classes of Procurement Intelligence is as follows:

- procurement

  • cluster
  • cluster_part
  • purchase_order

Pivot Objects

Pivot Objects are data and objects that are imported into the following classes: purchase_order class (and derivative classes of purchase_order, if any), corresponding to a pair of 1 purchase order and 1 part number.

Note: To know if your instance of Procurement Intelligence has derivative classes, you can see its data model by connecting to CloudView Administration Console (http://<HOSTNAME>:<BASEPORT+1>/admin) > Data Model.

Volume of Data

The maximum number of Pivot Objects that can be imported into an instance of your Procurement Intelligence application depends on the package you purchased: 15,000 Pivot Objects if you purchased the Sourcing Small Index (XCI) package.

Note: You can purchase several Sourcing Small Index (XCI) to increase this capacity.

Limitations

The use of documents indexed in the context of Procurement Intelligence is exclusively limited to the Procurement Intelligence application.

Unless specifically authorized, Data Universe cannot be enriched with custom classes. Only derivation of out-of-the-box pivot object classes is permitted.
