Product Managers add the relevant variants and option groups to a model version, then define the variability rules—expression rules and matrix rules—that restrict product configuration. The defined configuration rules determine which of the available variant values and options are allowed, required, selected by default, or forbidden in the model version's product configurations. The Product Manager creates one or more product configurations for the model version.
