Defining Default Selections in Product Configurations

You can define which variant values and options are selected by default in product configurations.

This task shows you how to:

Define Default Variant Value Selection

For each variant, you can specify which variant value is the default selection in product configurations. There can be only one valid default variant value per variant because there can be only one selected variant value per variant.

  1. Open the variant. For more information, see Opening a Variant.
  2. In the Default column for the variant value, click .
    The icon changes to .

This variant value is now the default selection for this variant in all product configurations.

Define Default Option Selections

For each option group, you can specify which options are the default selections in product configurations. There can be any number of valid default options defined for each option group.

  1. Open the option group. For more information, see Opening an Option Group.
  2. In the Default column for the option, click .
    The icon changes to .
  3. Specify as many default options per option group as it requires.

These options are now the default selections for this option group in all product configurations.
