To create a variant value, do one of the following:

Create a variant value for a variant in the context of Enterprise
Variability |
- From the left navigation pane, select Enterprise
Variability.
- Select the Variants tab. For more information, see Variants Tab.
- From the Action menu or context menu of a variant, click
Create
Value.

Create a variant value in the context of an open variant |
- Open a variant. For more information, see Opening a Variant.
- From the variant's page toolbar, click Create
Value.

Create a variant value in the context of a model version and automatically
allocate it to that model version |
- Open a model version. For more information, see Opening a Model Version.
- On the Variability tab, from the context menu or
Action menu of a variant, select
Attach Values.
- In the Values tab of the variant's properties, click
New.

If you create a variant value within the context of a specific model version, it is
also available in Enterprise Variability to be allocated to other model versions.
The New Value dialog box opens.

Enter a title for the new variant value.

Enter a description of the variant value.
- Optional:
To select an image for the new variant value, do one of the following:
- Drag an image into the Image field.
- Click Upload Image, browse to the image, then click
Open.

To create the variant value, do one of the following:
- Click Create to create a single variant value.
Your
variant value is created and the dialog box closes.
- Click Create another to create a variant value using the
current information, then be able to create additional variant values.
Your variant
value is created when you click Create another. The dialog box
remains open so that you can create another variant value by changing the
information.
A new variant value is created with a unique, system-generated
Name and the specified Title. Variant values
are created in the Exists lifecycle state.
