xPDMXML Completion Description for Functional and Logical Data

This sections describes about the completion for both Functional and Logical data.

By selecting a Logical Reference, the completion scope corresponds to the following:

  • The Logical data corresponding to the Logical structure starting from the selected reference.
  • The Implement Links established between the Logical and Functional domain.
  • The corresponding Functional structure (if exists) associated to the Logical structure by navigating along the Implement Link.

By selecting a Functional Reference, the completion scope corresponds to the following:

  • The Functional data corresponding to the Functional structure starting from the selected reference.
Note: All the types of Logical and Functional data are embedded in the completion scope except the following:
  • Representations and/or their contents are not included in the completion scope.
    • 2D layout information
    • Behavior
    • Snapshot
    • ...
  • Logical and Functional data having applicative facets (Electrical, Fluidic, etc.) and these applicative facets are not a part of the xPDMXML integration. Applicative facets corresponds to:
    • Applicative types deriving from functional and logical base types.
    • Application extensions extending functional and logical types.

For example, an Electrical Logical Wire is exported as a Logical Reference, without its applicative facet.

Note: Functional data and logical data are not supported for import using XPDMImportExportBatch.
