Transferring E-BOM Data to X-PDM

You can transfer part and E-BOM data from Engineering BOM Management to X-PDM using Export XPDM option.

Important:
  • This function is applicable only on parts.

  • The 3DEXPERIENCE platform parts need to be in publishable state.

Before you begin: Create an E-BOM structure with two parts in Engineering BOM Management.
  1. In the Properties page of the part which is the root of the E-BOM structure, select Export XPDM.

    The Export XPDM dialog box appears.

  2. Select the Target Site from the list of X-PDM sites and click Done.

    A dialog box appears with the status of the transfer request.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Verify if, the E-BOM structure is transferred to the X-PDM system.

    Note: Transfer to X-PDM is asynchronous. The time required for data transfer to the X-PDM system depends upon various factors including the size of the data that is being transferred, the hardware configuration and some other factors.
