Members

You can work with members of a project.

The project access model is based on membership. By default, projects and tasks are visible only to the creator.

Membership changes are propagated to child projects.

This task shows you how to:

View Members

Click the Members tab to see the people who have responsibility on the project.



  1. Change the view.

    Icon Description
    Displays members as cards.
    Displays members in table rows.

    Use these icons in the upper-right corner to expand/collapse the project card and edit the project:

    Control Description
    Expands/collapses the project card in the header.
    Lets you edit the properties of the project.

  2. Work on a member card or table entry by clicking . Then click Viewer, Leader, Author, or Remove Member.

    Note: A removed member remains assigned to tasks.

  3. In the search dialog box on the global toolbar, click then Search in Current Tab to search for members or member groups.

Add a Member

You can add individual members and user groups created in 3DPlanService and assign their level of responsibility.

  1. Click Add Team Member to add a member. You can also drag a person or user group from another app.

    Access for individuals and user groups is propagated to child projects, tasks, and milestones.

    A person can be part of a user group with a certain responsibility, and also added directly with a different responsibility on the same project. In this case, the higher responsibility is considered for access.

    You can also add pending users. This is a user who has been invited to a platform but is not logged in. To specify a pending user, you must enter the person's full email ID since type-ahead is not available for pending users.

  2. In the field to the right of the responsibility for Leader, Author, Contributor, or Viewer, enter the last or first name of the person. Type-ahead is available. Leader has all permissions on the project, including deletion. By default, the person who created the project displays as the Leader and all menus under are disabled.

    Author can modify all aspects of a project but cannot delete it. Authorcannot add members.

    Contributor can have task assignments. Otherwise, this has the same permissions as a Viewer.

    Viewer can only see the project and cannot modify it.

  3. Click Add.
