Creating Center Lines Without a Reference

You can apply a pair of center lines to a circle or an ellipse.

  1. From the Annotation section of the action bar, click Center Line .
  2. Select the circle or the ellipse to which you want to apply the center lines.

    Center lines are automatically applied.

  3. Click in the drawing to create the center lines.
  4. Optional: To modify the center lines, you can select them and use the handles.

Note: When creating a center line on a generative view, a message is displayed if the center line cannot be associative to the 3D area.

The center line is not associative in the following cases:

  • When the corresponding 3D geometry cannot be accessed or loaded (non-existing parts, parts not loaded, and so on).
  • When the view is not up-to-date.
  • When a complex 3D edge results in several 2D circles in the view as its 2D result.
