  1. In the 3DEXPERIENCE Save dialog box, select the Show CAD Attributes check box.
The CAD Attributes column is added to the 3DEXPERIENCE Save dialog box.
Note: The CAD Attributes column is also displayed when the view is modified using the View list. The CAD Attributes column is removed from the 3DEXPERIENCE Save dialog box only when the Show CAD Attributes check box is cleared.
  2. Click Show for any design in the CAD Attributes column.

Note: You can also open the CAD Attributes dialog box for designs that cannot be selected in the Save dialog box.

The CAD Attributes dialog box appears.

The CAD Attributes dialog box displays the system and custom attributes specified for the design.

The CAD Attributes dialog box displays the following attributes specified for the design in the System or the Custom tab:

    AreaDescription
Normal AttributesAttributes that are not mandatory.
Mandatory Attributesmandatory, default, and null attributes that are mapped in the GCO by the administrator are displayed in the System or Custom tab. If the attribute is mapped as mandatory, then the values entered in the GCO are displayed. If the attribute is mapped as default, then the value specified by you is displayed. If values are not specified by you, then the value specified in the GCO is displayed. If the attribute is mapped as null, then the value specified by you is displayed.
AutoCAD specificAttributes that are AutoCAD specific, but are not system attributes are displayed in the Customs tab. For example, block attributes in AutoCAD.

  3. Click OK to close the CAD Attributes dialog box.
    Notes:
    • The tabs displayed in the CAD Attributes dialog box depend on the attribute mappings. Tabs are not displayed for types that are not mapped.
    • The attributes displayed in the CAD Attributes dialog box cannot be edited.
    • An error message appears when you click Show if the attributes are not mapped for the design.
    • Only block attributes that are synchronized while saving the design is displayed in the CAD Attributes dialog box.
    • The CAD Attributes dialog is displayed for CAD objects of a certain type, if attribute mapping from CAD to ENOVIA is defined in GCO for that CAD type. If no attributes are defined on the CAD file and no mandatory or default attribute values are defined in the GCO, then the CAD Attributes dialog box will not display any value for this attribute.
    • The attributes for custom or default types are displayed in the 3DEXPERIENCE Save dialog box if some custom types are present in ENOVIA for some CAD types or added to the GCO by your administrator. If an attribute is mapped only for the default type in the GCO, and the object being saved to ENOVIA is of the custom type, then this attribute is not displayed in the 3DEXPERIENCE Save dialog box.
