Updating Designs

You can update the current active design in AutoCAD with the latest design in ENOVIA using the PLM Status dialog box. Using Refresh, you can refresh the display of the entire structure and update the structure with changes in the PLM Status dialog box.

  1. From the AutoCAD toolbar, select 3DEXPERIENCE > PLM Status.
    The PLM Status dialog box appears.

    , signifying that the design is a candidate for global refresh, is displayed for designs that are obsolete. For information about the columns and right-click options in the PLM Status dialog box, see PLM Status Dialog Box.

    Notes:
    • If the root node is not saved to ENOVIA, only the Name and Type columns display information for the design in the PLM Status dialog box.
    • If there are multiple designs open in AutoCAD, PLM status is displayed only for the active design and its child components.
    • You can minimize the PLM Status dialog box and continue working with AutoCAD, make changes in the structure, or lock/unlock designs in the design structure.
  2. Click Refresh to refresh the display for the entire structure.
    Any changes done to the design or design structure is updated in the PLM Status dialog box.
  3. In the column, select designs modified in session or locked by you, and are obsolete, for global refresh. You must select these designs in the column for including them for global refresh.
    • Click or to include the designs for global refresh.
    • Select multiple designs with or . Right-click and select Include for Global Refresh.
    , are replaced by to indicate that the designs are selected for global refresh. For more information about the icons displayed in the column, see PLM Status Dialog Box.
    Note: Selecting a parent node does not include its child nodes for global refresh.
  4. Optional: In the column, click for individual designs, or right-click and select Exclude from Global Refresh on the selected multiple designs with .
    is replaced by . Designs with , , or are not included for global refresh.
  5. Click Update.

The designs selected for global refresh are downloaded and the current active design in AutoCAD is updated with the latest design. On successful update, is displayed for the updated designs in the column.
