Checking In Files to POA

You can check in an artwork file from Adobe Illustrator to a POA in 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

Before you begin: Configure the default artwork file type, and the file types to create and check in.
  1. Select Edit > Preferences > 3DEXPERIENCE.
  2. In the left pane, click Artwork.
  3. In the File Check-in field, select the file types in which you want to generate the artwork file.
  4. In the Artwork File - File Type field, select the file type of the primary artwork file.
  5. Click OK.
  1. In Adobe Illustrator, open the artwork file to check in to a POA.
  2. Search and open a POA from the Artwork Assembly panel. For more information, see Searching for POAs.
Note: You can check in the artwork file only if it is in the Preliminary state and the POA is in the Draft, Preliminary, or the Artwork In Process state.
  3. Click Check-in Artwork File in the Artwork Assembly panel.
    • If any artwork element in the artwork file is not mapped, a message appears asking if you want to continue with the element unmapped. Click OK to continue with the check-in.
    • If any copy element mapped to a text area is marked to ignore text differences, a message appears asking if you want to continue as the file will not contain information about the text differences. Click Yes to continue with the check-in.

The Check-in Artwork File dialog box appears.

  4. In the Check-in Artwork File dialog box, the following details are displayed automatically.
    • Type: Displays the type as Artwork File.
    • Name: Displays the name of the POA to which the artwork file is being checked in.
    • Revision: Displays the revision number of the artwork.
    • File Path: Displays the path of the artwork file.
  5. In the Check-in Artwork File dialog box, select the Complete Assigned Task check box to complete the task associated with the POA. In addition, enter your comments in the Comments box.
  6. Verify the details displayed in the Check-in Artwork File dialog box and click Checkin.

The artwork file open in Adobe Illustrator is checked in to the POA. Copies of the artwork file are created in SVG and PDF formats, and checked in along with the artwork file. A GS1 response file is also generated and checked in to the POA. If a graphic element is not synchronized when a GS1 response file is generated, the changedbyrecipient attribute is specified as True.

Notes:
  • If the POA already contains a file of type Artwork, the selected artwork file is not checked in to the POA. A message appears notifying that an artwork file with a different extension is already checked in to the POA.
  • When you check in an artwork element that is associated to multiple text frames, ensure that all text frames have content. If any of these text frames have content that is different from the artwork element, is displayed next to the artwork element in the Artwork Assembly panel.
