Adding ELIN

You can connect an Exhibit Line Item Number (ELIN) to a CLIN or a SLIN. Once created, the ELIN is displayed in Part 3, Section J of the Universal Contract Format (UCF). You can add an ELIN to a SLIN or a CLIN.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Administrator, Leader
  • App-specific: Data Manager, Contracts Manager, Global User with owner access, Program Controls Specialist, Subcontract Administrator


Before you begin: A CLIN must exist.

Adding SLIN
  1. From the CLINs page, select the check box next to the CLIN to add the ELIN.
  2. From the page Actions menu, click Add ELIN .
  3. Enter the following information:
    Field NameDescription
    ContractThe contract number is carried over from the connected contract.
    ParentThe parent CLIN of the ELIN.
    NameEnter a name for the ELIN. The ELIN must be unique within the context of customer and contractor because this attribute is used to identify the ELIN.
    Provisioning ParagraphEnter the paragraph that refers to the ELIN.
    Provisioning DocumentClick to select the SOW document that refers to the ELIN.
    TaskingSelect Data, Hardware, Service, or Software.
    Creation DateClick to select the date the ELIN was created.
    On Dock DateClick to select the expected ELIN delivery date.
    Text/RequirementEnter any texts or requirements related to the ELIN.
    Per Unit CostEnter the cost per unit of the ELIN deliverable.
    Per Unit Cost InSelect Euro, Pounds, US Dollar.
    Ship Set PriceEnter the price of the identified deliverable as packaged.
    Ship Set Price InSelect Euros, Pounds, or US Dollars.
    CI NumberClick to select the configuration item number.
    CEI QuantityType the configuration end item quantity.
    Deliverable Part NumberClick to select the deliverable part number.
    Customer Part NumberClick to select the customer part number.
  4. Click OK.
