Creating WBSE

You can create a WBSE after creating a WBS Specification.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Administrator, Leader
  • App-specific: Contracts Manager, Data Manager, Program Controls Specialist, Subcontractor


Before you begin: A WBS Specification must exist. For more information, see Creating a WBS Specification.
  1. To create a WBSE, do one of the following:
    • Click Home .
    • In the navigation pane, click Program Mgmt > Contracts > WBSE.
    • From the page Actions menu or toolbar, click Create New .

    Or

    • From the top bar, click Add .
    • Click Program Mgmt > Contracts > Create WBSE.
  2. Enter the details:
    Field NameDescription
    WBSE TypeThe default type is Contract WBSE.
    WBSE IDEnter the WBSE ID.
    Alpha WBSEEnter the alphabetical determination of the WBS number generally signified as A1, A11, A111.
    TitleEnter the title for the WBSE.
    RecurringSelect Yes or No if the WBSE is recurring.
    WBSE DescriptionEnter a detailed description of the WBSE.
    WBS SpecificationClick inside the field to type ahead and view existing WBS Specifications. You can also click to search and select the WBS Specification.
    CLINAfter selecting the WBS Specification, you can select the connected CLIN. Click inside the field to type ahead and view connected CLINs. You can also click to search and select the connected CLIN.
    WBSE ManagerClick to select the WBSE Manager.
    Charge NumberEnter the charge number.
    SOW Document NumberEnter the Statement of Work (SOW) document number.
    SOW Paragraph NumberEnter the Statement of Work (SOW) paragraph number.
    WBSE Start DateClick to select the date work on the WBSE will start.
    WBSE Stop DateClick to select the date work on the WBSE will end.
  3. Click OK.

The child WBSE create page will have parent WBSE start and end date that will be editable, and the child WBSE dates will be constrained within parent WBSE start and stop dates. Also, while creating the parent WBSE, the WBSE start date and stop date are constrained to be in between the Contract Start Date and Contract End Date scheduled.
