Moving Components with the Robot

You can move a component by dragging and dropping the Robot on it.

Before you begin:
  • Open an assembly.
  • The element to move must belong to the active component.

  1. Drag the Robot onto a component.
  2. Move the component using the Robot translations and/or rotations.
    Child components move along with the component. However, if child components are involved in an engineering connection used in another component within the structure, they move with respect to that engineering connection.
  3. To move child components along with the product regardless existing constraints, press Shift and manipulate.

    The engineering connection network is no longer taken into account.

    This operation ignores the constraints, if any, of the child components of the component being moved.
