Creating Joggles by Selecting Offset Surfaces

You can define the offset surface of a joggle by selecting an input surface, instead of creating an implicit offset surface from its base feature support surface.

  1. From the Model section of the action bar, click Joggle .
The Joggle Definition dialog box appears.
  2. Select a surfacic flange as the support and select the joggle plane.
  3. From the Offset Type list, click Surface and select the offset surface.

Important: The direction arrow of the joggle depth is not visible, as this direction is automatically computed according to the relative orientation of the previous support surface.

  4. Click OK.
The joggle (identified as Joggle.x) is created and the tree is updated accordingly.

  5. Click Joggle again.
  6. Select the joggle plane and click OK.

Note: The second joggle is computed with the Offset Surface of the first joggle as reference.

  7. Double-click the first joggle in the tree.
  8. Select the offset surface.
  9. Click OK.

The second joggle has automatically taken this new surface as reference. If you swap the Offset Type of the first from surface to depth, the reference is reset to the surfacic flange support surface.

Tip: You can create several joggles on the same offset surface.
